Apparently scumbag bought a Remington 870 after he test-fired an AR-15. He liked the AR, but was precluded from buying it as he was not a Virginia resident.
Lots of folks say he took Joe Biden’s advice and went with the shotgun. A shotgun, loaded with buckshot, is a fearsome weapon. Apparently scumbag stood in a place where he could look down on an atrium full of people and blast away. With a shotgun, precise aiming isn’t necessary and this perhaps explains the large number of fatalities.
We’re also seeing that the entire episode lasted 30 minutes or more.
When seconds count, the police are minutes away.
Security at the facility was fairly lax, without metal detectors and all that. We bet that has already changed, much to everyone’s inconvenience as all a bad guy needs to do is pop the security guard and it’s open season on the disarmed victims in waiting inside.
He went into a restroom and assembled the shotgun, which he carried into the facility broken down.
From there, he killed a guard and started shooting.
Actually, he killed the guard, took the guard’s gun and ammo. A twofer actually.
The facility was a “gun free zone”.
One man said his son and the son’s friends were armed, but had no ammunition.
“My son was at Marine Barracks — at the Navy Yard yesterday – and they had weapons with them, but they didn’t have ammunition. And they said, ‘We were trained, and if we had the ammunition, we could’ve cleared that building.’ Only three people had been shot at that time, and they could’ve stopped the rest of it.”
Of course, the AR-15 was denigrated.
And there was one fatality that was killed by rounds from an AR-15.
That would be the scumbag glory killer. Killed by good guys with guns – specifically AR-15s.
We know scumbag was a fan of Barack Hussein Obama. He was a liberal Democrat.
The scumbag blamed racism for his own shortcomings, instead of looking into the mirror.
He also felt racially discriminated against, and believed he had been financially “screwed” over a contracting job in Japan at the end of last year, friends said.
“He never got angry with us. He was always very nice to us. He had a couple of issues with being black. He felt he hadn’t been treated right, not by the Navy, just generally. He didn’t have a lot of friends – me, my wife and family, and people from temple.”
He also had an unhealthy addiction to video games.
The Washington Navy Yard gunman [scumbag’s name redacted] played violent video games including Call of Duty for up to 16 hours at a time and friends believe it could have pushed him towards becoming a mass murderer.
You can remember “cigar man” Clinton for signing executive order in 1993 to remove guns from citizens on military installation. That’s way back when “What does it matter” and definition of the word “it”.
Ok, If I understand this. Our government wants to background check us to death before we can purchase a firearm but, they find nothing wrong with someone that has two priors with weapons, a general discharge from the Navy, so they give him high security clearance at a military headquarters base. Got to love our government at work!
When black victimization is spoon fed by our government and media, not to mention education, what can one expect? He’s been a victim all his life! Nothing is his fault. His “illness” will mitigate his actions..also, This will have considerably less shelf life than it would if a white or ” white-Hispanic “had done this, since he looks like obamas son…..
He was not denied the purchase of the ar simply chose the shotgun.
Price being a factor im sure. Virginia law does not deny the purchase of long guns

Seconded. VA has no residency requirements for Assault Weapons.
It looks like the media was confused on the whole federal law about handgun purchases by out of state residents.
God, no offense, but it’s bad enough to hear or read the press say ” assault weapon”, do we need to confirm what they put out. I own military style rifles because I’ve handled and fired them all my life. I will not call them assault weapons because I don’t intend to assault anyone with them. I may use any of them to protect my home, but that is not assaulting said threat.
What law precluded him from buying the AR-15 ? Do you have a reference?
