Guns Save Life members in north central Illinois have set up an inaugural meeting set for Tuesday evening, September 18th in Pontiac.

John Gahm is organizing this northern GSL meeting, and looks to replicate the successful format enjoyed at the regular monthly GSL meetings in Rantoul, IL.

There will be conversation beginning around 6:00 as folks come in followed by the meeting business beginning at 7:00.

Guest speakers have been lined up.  The main speaker will be Frank Wright and John Boch on gun and ammo selection for personal defense.

Tech time will be a show and tell of some common personal defense firearms.

Yes, Virginia, we will be giving a gun away.  The first month’s drawing prize will be a gently used Smith and Wesson Model 65 revolver.

“I’m excited about this,” John Gahm said in talking with GSL president John Boch.  “I think there’s no shortage of interest and we’re within about an hour’s drive or less for folks from Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, Kankakee, Joliet and points in between.”

GunNews will devote space to reporting on the Pontiac GSL meetings in coming months on this page, along with news and announcements of interest for those in the north-central region of the state.

Mark your calendars and come on out.  It’ll be a good time!
