The "largest" mass shooting in America this year in Cincinnati took place early this morning as a violent thug opened fire on a large crowd, killing one and wounding 15 more.  Police said the violence was not terrorism-related.  To the contrary, the violence most certainly WAS terrorism.  The violence was gang terror, not radical Muslim terror.  Gang violence in America has skyrocketed since Ferguson.

The Cameo club has had problems with gun gang violence in the past, according to New York Magazine.  This morning, it all boiled over as the gangs began fighting inside the club, just before shots rang out.  Four off-duty cops worked outside the club at the time.

Cincinnati city manager told the media:  “This conflict is believed to have begun between two specific groups or individuals earlier in the day, escalating and ultimately leading to thus tragedy.”  Translation:  This was gang-on-gang violence perpetrated by ne'er-do-wells.

A number of firearms were recovered on scene and the ATF was conducting "emergency traces" on the guns.  Obviously, law-abiding gun owners don't leave their guns behind when they flee a venue, hip-hop or otherwise.

In fact, most gun owners probably aren't hanging out at a hip-hop bar filled with gang members at 2:30 on a Sunday morning.

New York Magazine does a decent job filling in the gaps in the early story.  It is almost as though the mainstream media is more interested in sweeping this one under the carpet as gang violence seems to get a pass from the mainstream media.  Frankly, mainstream America just does not want to surrender their right to self-protection because of gang violence in Democrat-mismanaged big cities.  Here's the NY Mag story:

A gunman opened fire at a packed Cincinnati hip-hop club early Sunday morning, killing one person and injuring 14 others. The gunman, who is believed to have acted alone, is still at large, and though his motive is not yet clear, terrorism is not suspected. WLWT5 News reports that the shooting occurred at the Cameo nightclub in Cincinnati’s East End, and that some of the victims have life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. One person is still listed in critical condition, and several victims had to undergo surgery. The incident was one of the worst mass shootings in Cincinnati’s history, and the 71st — and largest — mass shooting in America so far this year according to the Gun Violence Archive.

Hundreds of people were inside the club when the shooting started, and Cameo has problems with gun violence in the past, though nothing even close to this scale. Police are still investigating at the “chaotic” crime scene. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that a witness said a big fight had broken out in the club prior to the shooting, and that club-goers had been calling for security. Four off-duty police officers were working outside the club at the time. According to city manager Harry Black, “This conflict is believed to have begun between two specific groups or individuals earlier in the day, escalating and ultimately leading to thus tragedy.”

Let's face it:  This establishment was chock full of gang members and hangers-on.  What happens when you put a bunch of violent criminals in a big place with dope smoking, drinking, illegal guns, and bad-boy chasing women present?  It's not a recipe for a tranquil Sunday morning church service.

  1. Regardless of who the terrorist is affliated with going and shooting crowd to show you can is an act of terrorism. The organazation that supports them is a terrorist group. Say hello to "Gitmo".

  2. I saw this story this morning on Drudge.  I should have guessed.  Terrorism indeed.  Gang thugs are terrorists.  It's just that they terrorize mostly their neighbors in poor parts of town.  Often in Democrat-led urban cesspools.  It's ironic that dead Democrats lead Democrats to demand more gun control upon law-abiding Republicans instead of demanding prison time for the evil-doer Democrats.

  3. Say it isn't so!  Dindu strikes again.  And all the DunUntus left their Gats behind!   I'm going to hell for laughing at them.
