In Texas, a 15-year-old uses his dad’s AR-15 to defend himself, his 12-year-old sister and the family home against a pair of home invaders.

The AR-15 is America’s favorite rifle.

15-Year-Old Defends Home Against Burglars, Shoots One Of Them With Father’s AR-15

(FoxNews) – The teenage son of a Harris County Precinct 1 deputy shot a home intruder Tuesday afternoon in the 2600 block of Royal Place in northwest Harris County, deputies said.

The 15-year-old boy and his 12-year-old sister had been home alone in the Mount Royal Village subdivision when around 2:30 p.m. a pair of burglars tried the front and back doors, then broke a back window.

The teenager grabbed his father’s assault rifle and knew what to do with it.

“We don’t try to hide things from our children in law enforcement,” Lt. Jeffrey Stauber said. “That young boy was protecting his sister. He was in fear for his life and her life.”

The home invaders fled, leaving a trail of blood.

  1. Two comments:

    1. “We don’t try to hide things from our children in law enforcement,” – NEITHER DO WE, the civilian gun owner. We train our kids too.

    2. For gun controllers, they keep saying, “if it saves just one life, it’s worth doing”. In this case, training the boy to shoot and giving him access to the weapon saved TWO lives. So it’s twice as worth it.

  2. Its not the guns.
    It REALLY the news media.
I wonder where the phrase “K*%l the Messenger” came from.
For me, I think Shakespeare knew what he was talking about what to do with the lawyers.

Of course these implications are ridicules. I don’t believe in killing. Unless of course I believed that I was in imminent danger of great bodily injury or death. I think a reasonable person knowing what I knew at that time would do the same thing.
