Mother Jones:  The publication for the far left granola types out there.

This morning, they published the latest missive in their jihad against guns and gun owners.  “Disarmedu Ackbar!  Disarmedu Ackbar!” they no doubt chanted as they pressed “Publish” in their WordPress control panel.

The title of the piece?

How the NRA Degrades and Objectifies Women

Mark Follman

It’s written by wild-eyed Mark Follman, who is to gun civil rights what Governor Wallace and Sheriff “Bull” Connor were to racial civil rights back in the 1960s.

Follman is all atwitter at the NRA’s use of their First Amendment free-speech rights to promote and defend Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

He’s concerned about the NRA’s appeal towards women in America – and understandably so as the NRA’s messages are resonating with millions of American woman – many of them new as well as prospective gun owners.  It doesn’t bode well for those like him who advocate for disarmed victimhood status.

He’s widely critical of the NRA calling out Shannon Watts for being anything but a lonely housewife who just spontaneously became involved in the gun control movement.  In reality, Shannon “Watts” is really Shannon Troughton and she’s the President and owner of of VoxPop Public Relations, a boutique liberal PR firm.

The climax of Follman’s screed is his criticism of an ad featuring an attractive and strong woman wielding an AR-15.  The ad is for Daniel Defense’s line of civilian M-4-style rifles.

As Miguel at Gun Free Zone writes:  “Women Who Refuse To Be A Victim scare Pajama Boys.”

I’ll go one further.

Women who are strong, confident and armed with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to use firearms to defend themselves and their families cause pajama boys to fill their pajama bottoms with smelly brown stuff.

Pajama boys like those at Mother Jones – including Mark Follman – prefer women who eschew weapons – like the one featured in Bloomberg’s recent ad campaign:.  You know the type:  helpless, dependent upon others and pleading for her life when the going gets tough.

It’s better to possibly be victimized, the pajama boys will say, than to face near certain risk of hurting yourself with a dangerous gun!

  1. Funny how the same people complaining about degrading and objectifying women are those who are porn’s greatest defenders.

Let me guess: this guy has never looked at porn because of how he’s so dedicated to stopping the objectification of women, right?

    Sam

  2. The correct answer to this nonsense would be for Victoria’s Secret to stock a line of concealed-carry lingerie and put on special runway shows with the models demonstrating how to clandestinely pack heat.

    Yeah. That’s it.

  3. Guns, as arms are political power tools and arms have been before Molon Labe, the Spartan version of pry my sword out of my cold dead hands was the reply to the King.
Gun Control/gun Safety/reasonable gun laws all are ways and means to strip the people of political power. When any government has all the power, it becomes corrupt.
Be a writer, write Mother Jones and ask why they support stripping the people of the United States of political power. See if they reply.
Some people are just unable to think without help. They just assume.
