Just don’t see a “Don’t Tread On Me” special license plate being issued by our die-hard Democrat Secretary of State Jesse White…

But then again, a whole lot of people said I’d never have an Illinois concealed carry license in my pocket either.

(Washington Free Beacon) – Virginia’s special “Don’t Tread on Me” license plate featuring the Gadsden flag has exploded in popularity since its introduction. It has quickly overtaken many other specialty license plates in the Old Dominion, according to The Virginian-Pilot.

The rattlesnake has overtaken Jamestown, wildlife, and God.

It left clean-fuel vehicles in its dust and is coming next for Virginia’s lighthouses. Autumn likely will fall soon afterward, along with the commonwealth’s great seal.

Virginia’s “Don’t Tread On Me” license plate – yellow and bearing the popular rallying cry for limited government – is quickly climbing the ranks of special tags in the state.

  1. While I love the concept of “Don’t Tread On Me” license plates, I doubt I would put them on my vehicles. They may make you the target of harassment and vehicle vandalism by freedom hating liberals. In addition, some lunatic cops may assume you are armed and may harasses you when stopped for any reason or when you pass through their gestapo-like roadside checks for alcohol, drugs, illegal aliens (whoops they don’t care about illegals), oranges from out of state, etc. Putting “Don’t Tread On Me” plates on your vehicle is like putting an NRA bumper sticker on it. I’d rather go around anonymous and spare myself the grief. BUT – I really do like the plates. Maybe I am just being a timid little wimp.

    1. You are spot on! I know some liberal police officers who have come right out and told me that they target cars with the following stickers: NRA, US Marine Corps (especially the Marines!) Army and any other “freedom loving” type of message on them. They pull those cars over and immediately harrass for a weapons search. Don’t comply and it is a bad day for you!
