GOOD: Ohio revokes CCW licenses because of corner-cutting “instructor”

Imagine you paid good money and went to a concealed carry class and it ended a whole lot earlier than you expected.  You didn’t do much of any of the required aspects of the course:  classroom time, gun handling, legal lectures, etc. You think to yourself, “Hey, that works for me!  The Second Amendment...

DEAR RAHM: Chicago needs more gun ownership, not more gun laws

Chicago Democrat Mayor Rahm Emanuel went back to the old tired playbook yesterday, calling for more gun control following the insane criminal violence in his city over the weekend. In reality, what the Windy City needs is more gun owners – specifically the law-abiding folks in the city.  More good guys with guns in...

IL LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: Two words… “oh brother”

You read at Guns Save Life in the past couple of weeks how we’re applying pressure to the Illinois Senate – particularly individual downstate Democrat Senators. (1 2) The NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action put out an alert to Illinois Gun Owners last week, urging them to call their state legislators to...

BLOODY MESS: Nobody’s protesting Baltimore & Chicago horrific holiday violence

by John Boch What to know what Chicago and Baltimore have in common? Lots of things, including horrific violence and a long-time control by big city Democrats. Baltimore has a new problem, in that the police have been demoralized by the arrest of six cops in the death of some scumbag who beat his...

BAD NEWS: Shannon Watts, Michael Bloomberg bad news round-up

While your esteemed editor has been enjoying the great outdoors during his extended Memorial Day weekend, there has been a ton of good news for gun rights (and by extension, bad news for gun haters like Michael Bloomberg and his paid shill Shannon Watts). OPEN CARRY COMING TO TEXAS! First up, open carry is...

GOOD GUY OF THE DAY: CCW holds would-be car-jacker for police

Talk about a picture-perfect car-jacking – for the good guy. Edgar Horn thought he was just going to hop into a man’s car and say “You know what this is” and take what he wanted. Unfortunately for him, the driver was our card-carrying good guy of the day, Hashim Fannin.  Fannin pulled his gun...

HAPPY ENDINGS: Recent home invaders having very bad days…

It takes a special kind of stupid to commit a home invasion in Texas where there’s a gun on average for every man, woman, child and illegal alien. That didn’t stop this rocket surgeon from trying to take what wasn’t his after smashing down the door to an occupied apartment in Clear Lake Texas. ...

MEMORIAL DAY: It isn’t national BBQ day

Some are uncomfortable with us reminding them that Memorial Day isn’t about cooking out and drinking beer. Please Stop Sharing This Memorial Day Shaming Meme (Inqqisitr) - Facebook users are all probably familiar with this popular meme, which reads “Memorial Day, in case you thought it was National BBQ Day,” (Or some variation thereof.)...

KUBICEK: Thoughts to ponder this Memorial Day

The LA Times has taken the position that our right to keep and bear arms was created by the Supreme Court and not the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.  They argue that the 2nd Amendment only applies to state militias, not individuals. The NY Times has taken a similar position. “OK Fred, who...
